Heart of JOY!

Sunday was a really tiring day but I got a little time to catch a nap too! I had the opportunity of sharing Gods word in the morning and evening service and I was personally excited, this morning I am really asking WHY was I so excited?

No, its not that all came to me to say that the message was good, in fact, I know that I asked the congregation to raise their hands and confirm their role in evangelizing and only a few reluctant hands were raise, so I was not expecting any positive feedback! Why was I so excited?

This morning I read that Jesus’ final teaching with His disciples the night before He died on the cross was of His extravagant love for them—that He loved them as the Father loved Him (John 15:9). After sharing what this eternal relationship looks like, Jesus said, “These things I have spoken to you, that My joy may remain in you, and that your joy may be full” (v.11).

I now understand clearly the promise! Through Jesus Christ our hearts are filled with joy—real joy! This Joy allows me to just do things to bring Him glory. I am so proud of my little Church, I am so joyful for the congregation, because I know that they will, one day, experience the same Joy I have!
