HE has made His wonderful works to be remembered!

Every moment, every meeting, every situation, I sincerely believe that God has designed everything to be remembered among His people. Everything, yes everything that happens is a saving act of God. Forgetting the miracles I face every moment would dishonor my creator. It would be a personal failure if these moments were forgotten or worse yet denied.

I say this because I had an unexpected meeting. I never ever imagined that this would ever happen in my lifetime and I was ‘blown apart’!

I know with absolute certainty that His hand was upon me. My family and I felt it during our assignment to India in 2004. The years spent there were impactful. They were the most significant development experience in my career. I truly had a great learning experience. The same company moved us to the Philippines. They then moved us to Malaysia. Finally, in 2012, we went to Sri Lanka, all of these moves were with different assignments. My last role in 2012 brought about changes to my overall view of life. Unfortunately, circumstances led to me losing my job. This left me with bitterness and hatred. As a family, we were all wounded and hurt.

Thankfully, I truly mean thankfully. If I think of how I would have responded differently, our lives would have only experienced hatred and bitterness. The love of family and friends helped us to appreciate that ‘the Lord has purpose in every situation.’ We received amazing support, love, and affection from all around us. The never-ceasing love from above kept pouring. The Lord helped us heal.

Many of my work colleagues from 2004 continue to stay in the same organization in India. One of them now leads the operation. This year, the company celebrated 25 years of its presence in India. They invited their former leaders to celebrate with them. It was to mark their successful journey. Blessed as I have been, I was also invited to share in their celebration!

At first, I was shocked. I never imagined that the organization would invite me for anything, knowing that they released me 13 years ago. Thirteen years is a long time and in today’s world, we can’t remember what happened the day before! Being remembered was surely something to be very thankful for. The greatest assurance I received was that His compassion was upon me.

Thankfulness….

I was welcomed with open hearts. Each individual there on that day had nice memories to share and the emotions were high. I was reminded of many stories I was part of. These wonderful memories and the remembrance of my colleagues and their journey are precious to me. Where the organization has developed to today is a reason for absolute thankfulness. The office tour was overwhelming. The organization that I came into with 30 plus employees has today grown to over 700. This was surely mind blowing and very fascinating! The expansion, growth, commitment, passion and success was beyond me to comprehend, I was totally and absolutely blown away!

Humanity…..

Every individual in the organization has played such an important role in bringing the success. I was deeply touched by everyone’s love and remembrance. I needed to keep asking myself if I was living in a dream. I will say it again. I had never imagined that anyone would make such an effort to acknowledge my contributions from the past. I am especially surprised that my former organization, where I devoted almost 15 years of my life, would do this.

The LORD is gracious and full of compassion: The psalmist always referred to God’s great work of grace and love. As a family, we have personally experienced this. Our God is full of these qualities and He expresses them in his great works. He spared us, pardoned us, and restored us from the hatred and bitterness. Today, He has preserved us and brought us to this day, knowing that we deserved to be utterly destroyed.
