We approached the month of July, and as the days progressed, my thoughts continued to remain in the month for many reasons! I reflected on what I had penned down last year https://diljacob.com/2023/08/07/july/ and the memory remains so ‘present’.
A little more than 200 persons were present on the first Saturday of July to celebrate and give thanks for the life of Roshan. There were many testimonies, and it all reflected so much of what and who Roshan was. He is no more with us here on earth, he leaves behind who he was to all of us.
A few days after we celebrated the life of Roshan, we could have celebrated Sheruni’s 51st birthday, and a few days after that, it would be 36 years since mom entered eternal rest. The memories of July can be tough indeed.
We doubt, we question, we ask why. So, what is the work of our Lord? Is there something He is saying? Is He showing us something that we are not focused on? The more I reflect, the more I am convinced that our responsibility is in continuing to share the hope and love of Jesus with others. It is loving God and loving others.
All of us have opportunities for us to be a witness, whether in our homes, neighborhoods, or workplaces or just when we are with strangers. Because Jesus is victorious, we get to be confident in pursuing the work God has given us!
Jesus’ death and resurrection gives us the opportunity to have a relationship and this brings us the vistory! We do not need to fear death because Jesus has power over it! He came back from the dead, and now He gives us eternal, abundant life for those of us who believe in Him. Nothing can separate us from this love of God! Yes, indeed, it’s painful and extremely hard to lose our immediate family, our loved ones, and friends, yet the love of God that surrounds us is beyond all the losses. We know that we can be assured of receiving His love and peace, and that is to walk in His will – to be Joyful, to have a Thankful heart, to be able to remain Prayerful – always!

Friend, be assured, because I know the pain that can pull me down. However, His love has always pulled me up! Never even imagine of ever having to walk this life’s journey alone – He will NEVER leave us!

Thank you Dilranjan sharing this message and as sad it is to read about Sheruni, Yasmin and Roshan and the heartbreak the family has experienced it is also a miracle to watch the testimony of Cynthia who is able to stand and speak and be there for Beno with the blessings of God Almighty
Aunty Shanti
